27 weeks

I consider myself very lucky to have been feeling great thus far.  However, the past couple of days I have had a rough go with sleepless nights, discomfort, heart-burn, and exhaustion!  I'm going to attribute this all to our little man growing and gaining weight. According to the books, he should weigh around 2lbs now and is the size of a head of cauliflower

I must say, I feel so very blessed to have such an amazing husband...thanks for being so supportive and bringing humor into this journey!  I love you!

26 weeks

Still feeling great!  This week I've struggled with keeping my eyes open...I think it has something to do with not keeping to by usual gym schedule.  So, when I found out we had a snow day today...I was much appreciative of some extra sleep.

We also started thinking about daycare options...we went to an open house near work.

Here is the phone conversation that took place afterwards:

A:  "So, what did you think?"
J:   "What did you think?"
A:  "I asked you first - but I liked the infant room"
J:  "I don't know...the kids in the other rooms were out of control -crazy"
A: "Really, I thought the room was small, but the kids were just friendly and having fun.  Maybe we need to keep looking?"
J:  "Can't hurt."


The toddler rooms were busy!   And the decisions as parents begins!

Quiet Moments

This week was a quiet one.  We had a good Doctor's visit - Gained more weight, blood pressure good etc...
The nurse allowed Joe to find the heart beat - such a sweet moment.  Our boy was happy and active! 

- On Friday we decided to start registering - so many options - so overwhelming
- On Saturday our Neighbor asked us to stop by - She surprised us with an amazing amount of baby gifts- we were blown away with her generosity.  I should add that she works for Safety 1st,  it was so thoughtful.

We are so very grateful!   Thank you!

Baby Furniture

Joe and I started shopping!  We haven't ventured out to the most overwhelming place, Babies R Us, but we did find excitement in picking out the little man's crib and dresser.  It could take up to 14 weeks, so I'm glad we thought ahead.  Go team Stafford!  Visiting the Doc tomorrow...looking forward to hearing his heartbeat!

24 weeks

24 weeks today!  Starting to feel a little different and missing some things a bit:

1).  Sleeping on my back
2).  Wine with dinner with my hubby
3).  Seafood
4).  Energy

I am so grateful for all my friends who have made shopping for me so easy...thanks for all the clothes (SR, MF, AP).  Such a life saver! 

So, I am starting to think about registering.  Please send me your list of MUST haves!

23 weeks

Today marks 23 weeks and although we have a gender, we are having trouble with a name.  I can't believe I am doing this, but I am welcoming your suggestions...post your favorite boy name. 

10 weeks behind...

I wanted to share some wonderful news...my cousin Alyssa is only 10 weeks behind me.  Please say a prayer for a healthy and enjoyable preganancy.  Here is a picture of  her sharing the news at LaSalette Shrine...we love to pray as a family!
